Al-Qalam University to Confer First-Class Honors on 104 Graduates Among 9,894 Students

In a briefing held in Katsina yesterday, the Vice Chancellor of Al-Qalam University, Prof. Nasiru Musa Yawuri, announced that 104 students would graduate with first-class honors from the 2016 session to date out of a total of 9,894 graduates.

Prof. Yawuri shared this information while addressing reporters, discussing the preparations for the university's second combined convocation set for November 25.

During the upcoming convocation ceremony, 139 postgraduates will be honored with various distinctions, including seven Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees, 125 master's degrees, and seven postgraduate diplomas (PGD).

"We are set to celebrate graduates from the 2016 to 2023 sessions on Nov. 25, conferring degrees on graduates spanning eight sessions," he stated. "The preparations ensure that graduates of the 2022/2023 session will be highlighted during the convocation ceremony."

As part of the celebration, a Qur’anic recitation competition has been organized for graduating students, with a prize of N1 million for winners in both the female and male categories.

The Vice-Chancellor also revealed that four distinguished individuals, including the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumin Kabir Usman; Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Hussaini Adamu; Alhaji Sani Zangon Daura; and Alhaji Abdulsamad Isiyaka Rabiu, would be conferred with honorary doctorate degrees.
